Boundary Waters West Vol 1
The Boundary Waters Canoe Area, over a million pristine acres of lakes, rivers, and forests in northeastern Minnesota, is no less then paradise for the wilderness canoeist. Stretching nearly 200 miles along the Canadian border, this magnificent wilderness offers over 1,500 miles of canoe routes through some of the most beautiful country in the world. This guide describes 27 entry points in the western part of the BWCA wilderness- those accessible from Echo Trail, from Fernberg Road, and from State Highway 1. It then suggests two routes from each entry point (a shorter route and a longer one). The reader is then guided through the entire trip, day by day, with attention to points of interest along the way.
